Uranium Market

The uranium market continues to exhibit long-term demand and supply imbalances. Market forces driving strong nuclear energy demand include global decarbonisation, emerging energy security initiatives and accelerating energy requirements of data centre and AI infrastructure. As a result, market fundamentals remain strong with demand for nuclear energy driven by the need for clean base load power.

Approximately 440 nuclear reactors are operating globally, with 69 currently under construction, and more than 400 proposed or planned (World Nuclear Association - World Nuclear Power Reactors & Uranium Requirements, June 2025). This represents approximately 76GW of power generation, over 20% of global installed nuclear power capacity, and approximately 38Mlb of additional annual uranium demand.

Namibia is currently undergoing a uranium resurgence with the potential to advance the country’s position as the world’s 3rd largest uranium producer.  Namibia is a recognised tier-one supplier to global utilities. Uranium currently mined and processed in the Erongo Region of Namibia is being used in nuclear power plants in the U.S., Europe and Asia, and is supporting the global energy transition to a low carbon future.

Namibia offers a stable, mining-friendly jurisdiction which enables the country to develop and operate complex uranium projects at scale.  The country’s uranium projects and operations benefit from well-developed infrastructure, including:

  • regional power grid;
  • desalinated water supply (via pipeline from the coast) support mining in the Namib Desert;
  • the deepwater Port of Walvis Bay provides an Atlantic shipping gateway to export uranium oxide (“U₃O₈”) to North America, Europe, and Asia;
  • skilled local workforce with decades of experience in uranium exploration and mining; and
  • a pro-mining regulatory regime with well-defined pathways for permitting, environmental approval and community relations.

Highlights

01

Skeleton Coast Uranium has entered option agreements to acquire controlling interests in five Exclusive Prospecting Licences ("EPLs") totalling approximately 610 square kilometres (“km2”) in the Erongo Region of Namibia.

02

The EPLs are strategically located near major producing uranium mines – Rössing (the ninth largest producing uranium mine globally in 2024), Husab and Langer Heinrich, and the advanced-stage Bannerman and Norasa development projects.

03

Recent processing and interpretation of regional airborne radiometric data undertaken by Namibia Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, identified significant uranium anomalies on all five EPLs.

05

Namibia’s Erongo Region is the world's third largest uranium producer and a recognised tier-one supplier to global utilities.

06

The EPLs cover over 610 km2, positioning the Company as one of the larger license holders in the region and a strong platform for uranium exploration and development.

07

Historical exploration reports on neighboring EPLs reference uranium values of up to 260 g/t uranium oxide (“U₃O₈”) and historical inferred resources of 35 Mt at 120 ppm U3O8, (unverified historical information; see Technical Information[1]).

[1] Technical Information - The historical technical information referenced here is from the Namibian Geological Survey Report – The Mineral Resources of Namibia – Uranium dated 1988 by H Roesener and CP Schreuder and has not been independently verified by the Company.  A Qualified Person has not completed sufficient work to classify the historical information (including the historical estimate) as current information, including, without limitation, current mineral resources or mineral reserves under National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects, and the Company is not treating the historical information (including the historical estimate) as current, including, without limitation, current mineral resources or mineral reserves. Further work, including drilling and analysis, is required to verify these historical estimates to be considered current mineral resources.  This information is provided for purposes of illustrating the prior work history on the property.  Mineralization on adjacent or nearby properties, including the Rössing, Husab and Langer Heinrich mines, is not necessarily indicative of mineralization on the Company’s EPLs.
